Until now, replying to someone who wrote to you was free as long as you were inside the [24-hour window](/en/docs/inbox/what-the-24-hour-window-is). From **1 October 2026** that ends: Meta charges for every message you send, replies included. Konverda charges nothing for any of this; what changes is the bill Meta sends you.

## What changes {#que-cambia}

- **Every reply is charged per message.** Everything you send without a template inside the window — what Meta calls *service messages* — now has a price.
- **Utility templates inside the window too.** Until now they were free while the window was open; from October they are charged the same as outside it.
- **The 72-hour window from ads stays free.** If the conversation starts from a click-to-WhatsApp ad, that entry window does not change.
- **A reply costs the same as a utility template.** Meta sets it per country: in every market, a service message costs the same as a utility template.

## What it means in euros {#en-euros}

An example with a made-up rate, only to see the order of magnitude:

- You send a wave to **1,000** contacts.
- **30 %** reply: that is **300** conversations.
- In each one you send **2** messages on average.
- That is **600** replies. At **€0.02** each (example rate), they add up to **€12**, on top of what the templates cost.

The real rate depends on your country and Meta changes it from time to time: check your country's rate on [Meta's rate card](https://business.whatsapp.com/products/platform-pricing).

## What Konverda does {#que-hace-konverda}

- **It shows you the replies before you send.** In a wave's **«Revisión»** (review) step, the cost has two lines: the templates, calculated exactly, and the replies, as a range («entre X € y Y €»). The range comes from your own reply rate over the last 90 days and from how many messages your team sends per conversation. If there is not enough history yet, Konverda says so instead of making a number up.
- **It prices every reply from the day Meta charges it.** Cost reports count replies from 1 October at your country's utility rate. Nothing earlier is touched: what was free still shows as free.
- **It never charges anything.** Konverda adds no margin and bills no messages: you pay Meta directly, and Konverda only shows you how much.

:::nota
Rates are not configurable from the app yet. If **«Revisión»** shows «Tarifa no configurada» (rate not configured), write to us from Support and we will add it.

## How to spend less {#gastar-menos}

- **One message per reply.** Three short messages in a row cost three times what one well-written message does.
- **Reply inside the window.** Outside it you can only send a template, and a marketing template costs more than a reply.
- **Use the ads window.** Conversations that start from a click-to-WhatsApp ad get 72 free hours: it is the cheapest way to open conversations.
